About this Guided Project

Learn step-by-step

In a video that plays in a split-screen with your work area, your instructor will walk you through these steps:

  1. Add inline styles to specific areas within an HTML file to enhance a web page.

  2. Add an internal stylesheet to an HTML file and populate it with a variety of CSS rules.

  3. Add code to an HTML file to link it to an external stylesheet.

  4. Use an editor to create and save an external stylesheet as a file separate from the HTML file.

  5. Incorporate the three types of CSS into one website and demonstrate how the application of styles cascades.

Recommended experience

Completion of Introduction to CSS or a basic knowledge of HTML elements and familiarity with CSS rule syntax is recommended.
