I couldn't have asked for a better class to be offered during this time. Got to learn a lot about myself and why I think or do certain things without even thinking about it. Thank you for this course!

This course came to my attention when I saw the newspaper headline "Yale's Most Popular Course Ever". I was really sceptical at first but I decided to try it because I sometimes like to try things that lie outside my usual scope, and with this one I really hit the jackpot. It's one of the most interesting classes I have ever taken. I strongly recommend it to everyone.

Excellent, it was very useful, applied to real life, concise, clear, easy to understand and very helpful for personal life. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to learn with magnificient professors supported by renowned universities and which I would never have been able to access if it were for the generosityand vision of two greats: Coursera and Yale University.

This was a phenomenal class with incredibly eye-opening material. It is not hard (material wise), but the implementation of the behavior changes are not easy. Professor Santos has the class paced out in a very logical way and it is very easy to continue on with the lessons, just out of pure interest in the material! I highly recommend this course to any and everybody.

The course helped me to get a lot more aware of what makes me happy. Its still a challenge to really practice what I learned, but I have it in mind and I come back to practice again and again. The course input is so professional and I tell people a lot about it. Thanks for offering that course!

But I did not yet get a Zertificate, please check this and send me. Thanks.

It enrolled out of curiosity and only to find out a few days later that the new school I am going to be a teacher at encouraged their community to enrol as well :-) It was a great course. I was always looking forward to find out what Laurie Santos would explain and tell us next. She is a great teacher and I really enjoyed just listening to her. I highly recommend it!!

The Science of Well-Being is an especially useful course to me as I was recently named the Pharmacy Residency Mentorship and Wellness Coordinator at the hospital I work at. I took this course hoping to develop the skills to improve my own happiness but also help the pharmacy residents. It was an incredibly thorough course and I am so thankful I found this opportunity.

I am first very hesitant to do the online course because I always think I don't have the time. but during the duration of the course, it made me realize, you make your time, just like any other activity that we have done-You choose to exercise, you choose to meditate, you choose to eat on time and healthy food and you choose to sleep on time. It is ALWAYS UP TO YOU.

I started the course as the pandemic was just beginning. Then our dear 14-year-old dog died, followed by our pet goat and my 28-year-old Arabian gelding who had been with me since he was two. The business I founded and ran since 1994 nearly failed. Through the loss, hardship, and challenge, this course offered tools that helped me cope and recover. I am... Grateful!

This is definitely one of my favourite courses here, on Coursera, and I would even say in life. I loved that it is not about just talking about positive benefits, but about doing things which can have a positive impact on our daily lives. Thank you very much, Professor Laurie Santos, for creating and spreading such an opportunity for students from all over the world!

Learned some really useful and practical strategies on having (and maintaining) the right outlook and mindset. Even if it was a recorded class, the instructor was engaging and her ability to present academic studies in a simple and straightforward manner so that even non-academics could learn and benefit is much appreciated.

Thank you for sharing this course with us!

I'm not exaggerating when I say this, this course is genuinely like a guidebook for how to live a better life. From socializing more, to how to have a good carrer and/or job, to how to make your relationships better, and much much more. Prof. Santos does an excellent job of presenting the data, and every single point is supported by science. Highly highly recommend!

Laurie Santos is extremely engaging and made this course very easy to consume. The design of the course was really well done. Each week built upon one another and the weekly homework assignment to concentrate on a particular rewirement really made the course meaningful. I truly have learned a new way to look at everyday life and find meaning and joy. Thank you.

This course really helped me understand the fundamentals of tactical ways to help improve my overall well-being. Yes, it requires disciplined intentionally thinking to get there, but that is learned growth. I love that there aren't any magic tricks or gimmicks. This is data driven information that once applied can help someone really improve how they feel over time.

In a world where suicidal tendencies and anxiety attacks are alarmingly increasing, I would say that this course could be the turning point for people. I will seek to continue executing everything I have learned from here. Yes, executing (or performing), because knowing is not half the battle!

Thank you very much Prof. Laurie Santos! And thank you Yale and Coursera!

Professor Santos is friendly and provides easy-to-understand explanations of concepts regardless of what education level you are at. Videos are practical, reasonably timed to provide information without going on a rant, and the short quizzes are easy to answer and a great way to review the material. I would highly recommend this professor and this course to anyone.

I can see why this course is so popular. Prof. Santos explains the research of why the things we think will make us happy actually don't, and then provides solid strategies to better take control of our own sense of well being. Several of the strategies may seem obvious or like things your parents tell you, but they also just work. I highly recommend this course.

Course was very interesting and informative. Discussed some of the science that backs up what the professor was talking about. Practical information for everyday life. The course if free but if you want a certificate there is an option for a small fee for that. I thought the course was excellent and paid the fee not for the certificate but to help the program.

Taking the course helps me comfort my own self, regarding what is happiness. It made me realised that things aren’t really meant to be the same forever. It improves my perceptions and strengthen my future goals. Honestly, inspired by teacher Laurie Santos by her upfront admission that she isn’t teaching because she is perfectly happy but she is also working on it!

Well organized course with different media used so that you stay engaged. Laurie Santos presents a case to look at our happiness differently so you have to go through all the weeks to get the full message. The final exercise wraps everything up. Peer review was new to me but set up very easy to do in the course. I enjoyed it AND I learned some things about myself.

This course truly changed my life. I have known about the things I should want and what should make me happy. But really learning the "behind the scenes" on why I don´t want the right things really helped me. Also the ReWi app is fantastic! I would appreciate if there also was some "personal" thing that you can track, like your own thing you are keeping an eye on.
