Hi, just a quick video introduction to the spreadsheet assignment on basic prediction and recommendation metrics. You're going to, in this assignment, get a spreadsheet that has a mix of ground truth ratings and predictions. And for a set of users, you're going to be asked to compute some of the metrics that we've learned. Things like mean absolute error and root mean squared error. Couple of quick tips. One, for every one of these, we give you a certain set of answers, that are already tested to be correct, that you can use as your way of checking if you're computing things correctly. Two, all of these metrics are things that you can do with very basic spreadsheet operations, with sums, with squaring numbers, with subtracting numbers. In a few cases, you may want to use some of the conditionals that are in the spreadsheet. But none of them involve any complex math. Three, we're only asking you for certain specific results, so take a look at the requested answers. Both in the document that describes this, but also in the quiz document where you're going to fill the answers out. We would be delighted if you want to compute additional scores, but we just want to make sure, while we're early in this course, that you're able to compute the basic metrics. If you're having any challenges with this spreadsheet issues involved, particularly if you jumped into this course without doing some of the earlier courses in this specialization, take a look at the discussion forum. That will be where we watch, and we expect some of your peers will be watching, to see if there's any needs for spreadsheet tips. Good luck.
