[MUSIC] I will introduce the content of this lecture by using a small bell. What does a bell sound like? Clear and ringing or flat and dull. [SOUND] Is this the original sound? Why so dull? Something is inside the bell. So, it does not ring. [SOUND] Much better, but still the sound is not clear [SOUND] Beautiful, sounds really good, a very pleasing sound, this is the original sound, the sound is different depending on what is inside. The sound of bell is a perfect when there is notthing other than original material inside of the bell. The same goes for people, our responses are different depending on the mind inside us, self-reflection is to look at what's inside my mind and subtract. This will reveal my inner strengths. Look into yourself. When you subtract everything useless, you can free your own beautiful sound. This is human completion. Human completion is a live with your original mind after everything useless has been subtracted. This will reveal your original inner strength and your sound will be most beautiful in the world. For the next six weeks we will cover the way to find your original mind. For the first and the second week, we will cover the reason why we need self-reflection for personal growth. And we will learn how to know our self through self-reflection. In the 3rd week and the 4th week we will study the simple and the clear principle of mind formation. This principle is the core concept of this lecture. And we will learn how to overcome ourselves through subtraction. In the 5th week and 6th week we will learn and practice the method of subtraction in everyday life. And we will learn how to live happily and peacefully and also learn to co-exist. The effect of self-reflection becomes clear when you continue practicing self section. Sometimes you need advise from professionals. Feel free anytime to ask a question during the lectures. After the one semester lecture at KAIST in 2011, student talk about the fundamental changes in their lives. Before, they had no chance to reflect on themselves. So they were very thankful for the lecture. One student shared, that he got a four point GPA for the first time after taking this course during the second semester of his senior year. He told me that it was because he could concentrate on the present and stop his mind from wandering. This course was designed so student can practice the method directly. After breaking the fixed concept of the past which I didn't know I had, I personally was able to let go of my pardons and then fly. I learn the principles of a world I confirm that human life is incomplete and I learn the ultimate status of a human completions. Now let us set out on the journey to explore ourselves if you know to know yourself properly and fulfill your purpose in life, this course will give the answers. Welcome everybody again.
