Research on supply chain management can be broadly classified into three categories, namely, operational, design, and strategic. While many analytical and numerical models have been proposed to handle operational and design issues, formal models for strategic planning are scarce. The supply chain operations reference (SCOR) model, developed by the Supply Chain Council, is a strategic planning tool that allows senior managers to simplify the complexity of supply chain management. It is firmly rooted in industrial practices and is poised to become an industrial standard that enables next‐generation supply chain management. This paper gives a brief introduction to the SCOR model, analyzes its strength and weakness, and discusses how it can be used to assist managers for strategic decision making.

The amazing course teaches me a lot, such as 6 sigma and lean 6 sigma.....etc. The knowledge improves my work efficiency and keep increasing my work ability. For example, I applied 5s management and kanban concepts on my work process. They are good strategies to improve my work performance and find the details that I should control. The knowledge can apply on every project and everything. Thank you Professor.

Some people argue that e-learning is not an effective way to learn new skills, but I understood it was wrong while I was taking this course. I accumulated lots of knowledge of supply chain management from this course, and I immersed myself in SCM. Special thanks to Professor, Rutgers, and Coursera.

Very interesting course. I had a subject named Operation Research (OR) in one of my Semesters. This helped me to focus on lot of stuff and also freshen up my mind regarding old concepts. Now I would try to continue my journey with the 3rd course in this specialisation.

This course is the one I enjoyed the most from the Supply chain managment series from Rutgers. If you are short on time and want to get an overall an intuitive way of looking and improving currect logistics operations this is the course you are looking for.

The course content is good and well explained in a very cool way. But the assignments should be graded by the instructor or some other credential person, rather than by peers. But it is all good based upon extent of assignment as it is introductory course.

It was a good course I was able to learn quite a bit of things that I didn't think I would have ever learned. I certainly recommend it to anyone that wants to learn how to better control and create processes, not jut to those in management jobs.

I would have liked to see more practice exercises with DMAIC. The culminating project was great, it forced me to do a project at my workplace and will hopefully get me to use it more when looking at ways to improve processes in the future.

The equation's quiz portion was the best. It gave hands on practice on the utilization of the different equations. The videos on how to do the equations were also very detailed that helped us utilize these equations appropriately.
